a couple of weeks ago, the day that the eerie fog descended on the country, me and cole bear went on a bit of an adventure to a local alpaca farm, mayfield alpacas.  again, nestled in the beautiful outskirts of sheffield.

the farm also has sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys and even wallabies.  there's a little small animal house inside the cafe with meerkats and other little animals that i don't remember.  oh dear, good job there was no pop quiz at the end of this one.

the animals were obviously really used to people coming for visits and feeding them along the way because the alpacas were running towards us upon hearing the rustle of the paper bag of feed.

they even have a little "toddler club" area.  every tuesday, 10.00am-12.00pm, they have an outdoor playgroup where they get to play and explore in the outdoors, eat snacks cooked on the open fire, learn about and feed the animals and generally be intrepid little adventurers.

find out more about mayfield alpacas, what they do, what you can do and about alpacas in general, visit their website here.

it was so weird to see this fog rolling in.  i felt like i was in pride & prejudice or something.
this was in the cafĂ© afterwards.  they had a big box of toys for the kiddies.
he picked out all the yellow crayons.  i think maybe it's his fave.
